APPLAUSE has been heard in North America over the past twenty-five years, most recently from Toronto, Canada - 3^rd largest English-speaking Theater City in the world. The program is in its 16^th year in one of North America’s largest broadcast markets. In recent ratings, APPLAUSE was the fourth most listened to program in its time slot in Southern Ontario.

Each hour of the program is divided into quarters, giving you a great variety. Talking is limited to 10 minutes and focuses on relevant anecdotes and history. Originally a one hour program In 2008 the show was expanded to 2 hours.

Music covers the theatrical and film music scene in New York (Broadway); London (UK); Toronto (Canada); Los Angeles; San Francisco and Chicago plus notable tours that are taking place. You’ll hear selections from new musicals and shows. as well as many old favorites from the past 100 years.

The host and producer of APPLAUSE  is Michael Englebert, a veteran freelance broadcaster whose programs on Broadway and film music have been heard over the past 40 years in markets across North America and on National Airlines.
